The Essentials within a Mother's Purse

Everywhere you look there are purses of all sizes but have you ever noticed that a mother's purse always seems to be full of the most random items. Well let me tell you, there is nothing random about what is in a mother's purse. Even when my kids are not around, you know once a year, I have what other people need. Examples: Sitting in a Garage with friends bugs start coming out. People are like, "Man these bugs suck! Maybe we should go inside, but it's so nice out!" No worries my friend I rummage through my purse, I have something for that, Off Bug wipes!!! LOVE THEM and so did everyone else! Night saved converse on. Walking with many of the same friends a different time. Manly friend with beard keeps playing with his pocket knife. "Man put that away before you get hurt" lol mom mode. "No I, ouch!!!" lol Rummage in purse pull out wet wipe for blood over flow and a adhesive bandage, don't even stop walking just patch him up. "Mom do you have chapstick?" Done! " Hunny I have a headache!" Advil Done! "Mom can I have this designer candy bar?" "No, they overcharge! Oh wait I have a coupon for that!" Done! Sometimes my purse even surprises me! The other day I was like man I need a stamp, took out my wallet and BOOM! Done! I swear the purse is to mom what lamp is to genie. That's right moms I just compared us to magical beings who live in unique spaces and make wonderful things happen! Oh wait that is what we do ;) Genie on Mom's Genie On!!!

Hello My Old Classmates and Friends

I just wanted you all to know that I have started a new blog that I am going to dedicate to just happy, fun, and silly news. I called the blog "Smiley Time News" I am hoping it is catchy and that others will find it entertaining, but more than that I am hoping that it helps me to stay smiling and happy. What is Wrong with this World

I have gotten to the point where I try to leave the room before the news comes on because I cannot handle the horrific things that people will do to one another. Why does there have to be such pain and loss! I will tell you it is all because people are greedy and have lost their sense of self worth. There are no morals and ethics have gone out the window. It literally makes me sick how the world is treating one another and in our own neighborhoods. I am not talking about global wars and things like that I am talking about when children have to walk into a room to find their parents brutally murdered. No child should ever have to see that. SERIOUSLY people a little love can go a long way!!!! It is not hard people love each other every day. As a matter of fact the person who killed those parents probably has someone that they love too. So why can't we shpw patience and forgiveness for those outside our inner circle. Why not take a deep breath when you get road raged at the guy who just cut you off. Yelling at him for being in a hurry does not help anything, maybe his wife is in labor at the hospital, maybe her son just got put in the ER. We don't know what is going on in other people's lives so why not give them the benefit of the doubt and show some love. We can change the world!

The news = the war

I was reminded today of why I dont name a habit of watching the news. It is nothing but bad news and war updates with my future husband about to be one of our governments brave pons I do not wish to hear about the plans of terrorist groups and what they want to do to our men and why. That is my man your talking about and the news people talk about it as if the men that are dying are just statistics. I have had enough I can't stand watching the news. These are real mem and women we are talking about. This is our husbands, boyfriend, fathers, mothers, wives, sons, daughters, and friends.how can you talk about them as if it's just another oh well story? What happened to compassion? What happened?   I will pray for us all for if this is how things are to be we are all going to need it. God bless

Wishing

I find myself wishing for a lot of things lately but most of all o want my Stephen back to have him hold me and to see him smile when he doesn't know I am watching. I love him so much. :)

Hard Times

II miss my man but today I am looking for ways to make sure we can stay connected. With ask the technology now days that should be rather easy. I am excited for all of our plans to go through. For now it is just a lot of planning. I am excited

So Begins a New Journey

My boyfriend is getting deployed to Iraq and is currently away at training. His deployment started May 27th and will be one year long. This was tough to hear since it was a last minute deployment for him. He was given 5 days notice. Knowing how I am and how I need to stay busy to keep from worrying myself sick he gave me a task. Upon finding out about his deployment he told me it is my job to plan our wedding while he is gone. :) That is not the official proposal because he wants to do that romantically and make it a surprise but I like it all the same. We will be getting married when he comes back and it is going to be a nice fall wedding in 2012. I am very excited and have started planning already. I want everything to be thought out and prepared for as much as possible as soon as possible. My son is very excited about the whole thing and very much so looks forward to having a daddy. I love them both so much and this is going to be a very fun journey. I am sure I will post more, I just needed to share my excitement. I am going to try to keep blogging about my process and cheap tips or advice is always welcome! Yay so long for now my lovely readers. :)
