Health Advice from Walmart

I find this so interesting I just have to share it. I work overnights at walmart and it is amazing to me the remedies you hear when someone starts to get sick. The most reliable one I have heard is supplementing echinacea into your diet, but the one that I am not sure that I will ever try is gurgling with peroxide 3 times a day. I have started taking echinacea and I have been feeling much better and am getting energy back to work the overnight shift. I would love to hear who else has picked up useful advice from your workplace, what it is and where your heard it!

  1. Great hints Anatomy of Life! I am a big fan of Hints by Heloise from the sixties. Heloise would publish a book and updates annually on household hints like the gargling with peroxide to combat throat cultures. It is that whole back to basics idea that we as Americans are looking into again because of the economy. There is little frivalry in spending these days. So, a simple gargle with peroxide keeping us from having to pay hundreds at the doctors is of great interest to us now.

My only advice is the ounce of prevention leads to saving pounds of... something like that. I promote taking supplements in multivitamins, echinacea, bayberry, rosehips, valerian root, and bee pollen for better health. It is important to reach out to an herbalist and be tested for the right supplements in order to do the most good.

  2. That was, in fact, very interesting. I have never heard of the herb echinacea and had to do some quick research. I'll keep that in mind next time my immune system needs a little help.

Though, I definitely agree with you in that I wouldn't want to gurgle any peroxide!!
