My mind wonders to and fro,
It never knows which way to go.
It's hard to focus, hard to stop,
it seems, mind weeds are my crop.
They start small, but set their roots,
and all my plans go kaputs.
I want my mind to be calm,
and so I get mental weed balm.
When I feel them set in,
I search deep within.
I tear them out and stop them quick,
before they start to make me sick.
Perfect poem for this weeks subtle mind exercise! Thank you for sharing this. I feel like I was the subject in this poem. My mind definitely wanders. I am appreciating the subtle mind exercise this week to help me calm my brain down. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really unique, cute thot provoking poem. I feel like writing my own poem as an off shoot to this one now. As Mickey said, it is a very good poem for this week. Good choice! We all have wondering minds, daily, learning to focus and stay focused on task at hand, like studying, is one of the challenges. Then, learning to walk away from studying like going into a different room and looking out the window at palm trees and letting your mind relax and just witness all the things around you to take a break is refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice poem again. :)
